About Heather

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State (LH60160402)
and have been in practice seeing adults and teens since 2007.

I earned a Bachelors in Psychology from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon
and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from City University of Seattle in Seattle, Washington.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, yarn (spinning and knitting), playing board games, listening to and creating music and discovering weird and interesting things about the world.

My Commitment to You

It is my passion in life to help people be present and active in a life worth living. What this looks like is different for every person and sometimes you get lost trying to figure this out. It is my commitment to you to help you bring new light to this journey and uncover what might have gotten lost in the dark.

Through our collaborative work together, in a space free from judgment, you will learn about your thoughts,  feelings and sensations through the lens of your individual life experience. You will learn about the things that get in the way and become barriers to what's really important to you. You will learn to hold yourself with greater compassion and acceptance, just the way you are. You will learn to let go of unhelpful scripts and beliefs that may sabotage your efforts. You will learn these things and much more when you give yourself permission, the "green light" to be present to your experience and your values.

Now is the time, right here, right now, to lean in to your life and find greater fulfillment and meaning . Don't resign yourself to simply exist, waiting for it to be over - embrace this moment and choose to really LIVE!

A word about humor...

"In fact, not a shred of evidence exists in favor of the argument that life is serious, though it is often hard and even terrible." - Brendan Gill, 1979

Breathe deeply with me and take a step in learning to laugh a little bit, which can be avital step in learning to really live.
